How to Make the Best Pumpkin Spice Latte at Home
What’s Fall without a pumpkin spice latte? This season, opt out of the usual PSL and try DIYing it with your very own homemade pumpkin spice latte. Not to mention, it’ll save you a good amount of cash money too.
Ingredients
Whole, natural, and pure ingredients are key here. We’re talking ingredients that you can recognize, understand, and that actually provide a nutritional benefit. Our guideline for portions are outlined below, but we highly recommend tweaking the recipe based on your own personal preference! (i.e. you may prefer your latte a bit sweeter, or a bit milkier, so playing around with ingredient amounts is a great way to customize your homemade pumpkin spice latte)
Latte Ingredients:
- coffee (1 cup)
- pumpkin puree (3 tbsp)
- milk of your choice – whole, almond, coconut, etc. (1 cup) [Note: If you’re looking for a richer taste, whole milk is a better way to go, but if you’re seeking a vegan option, you can’t go wrong with a non-dairy milk.]
- pumpkin spice (1/2 tsp)
- vanilla extract (1/2 tsp)
- nutmeg (1/4 tsp)
- cinnamon (1/4 tsp)
- sweetener of your choice – stevia, cane sugar, or maple syrup (1-2 tsp)
Whipped Cream Ingredients:
- canned coconut cream (1/4 cup)
- sweetener of your choice – stevia, cane sugar, or maple syrup (1-2 tsp)
- vanilla extract (1/8 tsp)
- A sprinkle of cinnamon
